Underwater inspection
Since July 2009 QI team is able to perform underwater NDT inspection with the same method and procedure used during normal ultrasound inspection, simply working underwater. Results are identical to our standard on-land analyses, with the advantage of avoiding boat lifting for hull inspection.
The specific device was developed by Q.I. Composites in collaboration with Carbonlab. The technique has been developed with Team Alinghi during the 2010 America’s Cup campaign.
