On every shroud and part of its fittings. Internal flaws, superficial scratches, corrosion, and wear statedue toabrasion and atmospheric agents were checked. Particular attention was focused on the corrosion state of shroud ends when they are covered by sliding caps. In those areas in fact, water stagnation and friction cause a fast corrosion of the material. | On parts that raised suspects after visual analysis or UT.
In particular, on the shrouds tips in order to find possible superficial cracks. |
