Determination of fibre and resin content
The technique used is based on the combustion of the matrix resin. Combustion is performed in order to not attack fibres. By weighting specimen before and after combustion, fibre and resin content by mass can be calculated. Fibre and resin content by weight could be calculated knowing materials density.

Determination of void content
Voids content by volume is calculated on the base of ultrasonic material velocity of the composite sample, knowing resin percentage.
